Baltimore city police officer arrested for domestic assault

A Baltimore city police officer was arrested following a domestic dispute with a woman. The officer, identified by the woman as 42-year-old Wayne Alfred Adams, assaulted her in a Pasadena home on Monday afternoon. Adams was charged with a second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense, and has been released on bond. The victim told Anne Arundel County police that Adams physically and sexually assaulted her. She added that her and Adams had gotten into a heated argument, and that he spit on her and physically removed her from a bathroom. He also slapped the victim and attempted to choke her. The woman, whose relationship with Adams was not clear, told police that she feared for her safety. Adams’ supervisors were notified and his weapons confiscated. He was initially held on $40,000 bond. Adams is currently suspended with pay.
