Second photo of Emily Dickinson found

0

There is only one known photo of Emily Dickinson, one when she was a teenager. Now there is a strong possibility that scholars have found a 2nd photo. This photo, taken around the time when she was 30, shows a much stronger and more mature Dickenson. Researchers have been studying the picture for accuracy for a number of years and revealed their findings and the Emily Dickenson International Society.

The photo shows Dickenson with friend Kate Scott Turner. Dickenson often is assumed to have never left her house, but in reality she was quite social in her younger years, and the photograph is taken in a place away from her home in Amherst, Massachusetts. The person who found the picture bought it in Springfield in 1995, and gave it to researchers in 2007.
