Kevin Clash accuser changes his story and admits relationship was legal

On Monday, Sesame Workshop said Clash had taken a leave of absence from “Sesame Street” after allegations arose that he had had a relationship with a 16-year-old, charges which Clash adamantly denied.  The man who accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of having sex with him when he was a teen now says that accusation is not true. He is now affirming Clash’s claim that while they did have a relationship it was consensual and occured when they were both adults. The man released his statement through the Harrisburg, Pa., law firm of Andreozzi & Associates.

In response to the turn of events, Clash issued a statement saying he is “relieved that this painful allegation has been put to rest.”
