Current TV announced Monday that comedian Joy Behar will be joining its lineup as the host of a prime-time talk show. “The Joy Behar Show” will begin in September and will air Monday through Thursday at 6 p.m. Eastern time. The hourlong program will feature Behar discussing timely political and social issues, while also touching on current pop culture stories with a rotating group of journalists and analysts.
The 69-year-old co-host of “The View” will remain on the ABC morning talk and variety show. Behar will guest anchor former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s show while he is on vacation next week.
