Greenbelt, Maryland has been selected as the site of the new FBI headquarters. “HUGE news for Prince George’s County and Maryland! GSA made the right decision to locate the FBI HQ in Greenbelt. Thank you to Team Maryland for fighting so hard to bring this victory home!” said Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks on social media.
The final three cities were Greenbelt and Landover of Prince George’s County and Springfield of Fairfax County. “GSA determined Greenbelt to be the best site because it was the lowest cost to taxpayers, provided the greatest transportation access to FBI employees and visitors, and gave the government the most certainly on project delivery schedule,” said a General Services Administration spokesperson in a statement.
