George Zimmerman involved in Florida shooting

Zimmerman who was acquitted by a Florida jury over Trayvon Martin’s death, was now involved in another shooting Monday. According to the chief of police, he suffered a minor gunshot wound in some kind of road rage incident. The department will not release any additional information until Monday afternoon.

Woman kidnapped and assaulted in Uber car

Police are searching for a suspected connected to the kidnapping and assault of a woman Sunday. Police say the individual had intent to commit a sexual offense. The suspect was reported as a “Middle Eastern man with a light complexion, a slim build and short black hair with a widow’s peak.” He was driving a black four-door sedan with a grey/beige interior and a Uber cab decal.

Former CIA officer convicted after leaking secrets from Iran mission

Jeffrey Sterling is being convicted Monday in a federal court near Washington. He leaked information concerning a secret mission to stop Iran’s aspirations to continue building nuclear warfare. Sterling will make a final attempt to ask for a lenient sentence.

Police shoot and kill domestic violence suspect

Domestic violence suspect fled the police in a truck Monday morning. Officials say deputies pursued the vehicle until suspect rammed their vehicle. It was then reported that this cause the deputies to open fire at the man, striking him and killing him at the scene.

Person killed by train in Prince George’s County

An individual was hit on the tracks near Bowdoin Road in College Park Monday. The County police are investigating the matter to acquire additional details regarding the investigation.  The identity of the victim was not released by County Police at this time.

Two adults and infant killed in tragic wreck on I-77

The three car accident took place after a Toyota Cruiser crossed a median and struck a Camaro. Shortly after the Camaro was then hit by a Camry, sparking a blaze. Two adults and a 9-month-old were declared dead at the hospital. The driver and passenger of the Camry received no life threatening injuries.

Fox cancels ‘American Idol’ after 15th season

The ratings of American Idol were on top of the charts at 20 million viewers every season. However, they have taken a plunge with only 9 million viewers this season. Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. will return to the final season with Ryan Seacrest.

Former Redskins TE Fred Davis joining Patriots

Davis is signing a 1- year deal with the patriots after a year and a half out of football. He served more than a year in suspension for violating the substance abuse policy. Davis was reinstated by the NFL last week making him a free agent for a short period of time.
