D.C. Police Chief Cathy L Lanier earned a 75 percent approval rating in an NBC4 Washington post/Marist poll released Wednesday. Her rating means she is among the most well-liked officials in the city, as decided by registered voters. Lanier’s time in office has shown a significant crime rate drop, including the lowest homicide rate 50 years. The poll also queried voters on approval ratings of the Schools Chancellor, whose rate has improved somewhat since January, and school boundary changes.
