Washington, D.C. ranked 9th among worst places to own a car

According to a survey from Jalopnik, D.C. is the ninth most torturous place to try to keep a car. Congestion isn’t the only reason the D.C. Metropolitan region is on the list of worst places to own a car in the U.S. The survey justifies the ranking and says roads are confusing and seem designed to stop traffic. The survey also finds that nobody has the slightest clue how to drive in D.C.

Ahead of the nation’s capital in the top 10 worst places in the U.S. to own a vehicle include, in descending order, is San Francisco, New York City, Miami, Fresno, Calif., Boston, New Orleans, Chicago, Hawaii, D.C., and Austin, Texas.
