Two teenage girls have stepped forward to accuse a D.C. police officer and pastor of sexual abuse. According to court documents, 45-year-old Darrell Best of Upper Marlboro, Maryland assaulted a 17-year-old girl back in December, inside his office at the Metropolitan Police Department headquarters. The girl told police the assault happened after Best took her to dinner at a ritzy D.C. restaurant. The first victim works with her mother cleaning the Southeast D.C. church where Best also serves as pastor (God of a Second Chance Ministry Church). The second victim, a 16-year-old, has described to police three separate incidences of sexual assault by Best, her pastor. The girl said that the abuse began December 23 of last year and occurred twice more in January and February during church choir practices.
