Three-month-old kittens stolen from NW D.C. Petco

Two kittens three-month-old kittens were stolen from a D.C. Petco Monday. It happened in the 3100 block of 14th St. NW around 11:00  a.m. The two brown tabby kittens were on display at Petco through Last Chance Animal Rescue, when someone destroyed the plexiglass case and took the animals. One kitten was male, the other a female. The kittens were recently removed from a kill shelter and vaccinated so that they could be adopted. The adoption fee for each one was $135, which covered their shots and vaccinations. Last Chance Animal Rescue says they are working on obtaining the surveillance footage from the store. Cindy Sharpley with Last Chance Animal Rescue stated that there is a $500 reward. Anyone with information is asked to call  (301) 274-9409 or the Metropolitan Police Department.
