Human bones found along Virginia nature path

A Northern Virginia resident discovered human remains Sunday evening. The resident had found the bones next to the Difficult Run Stream Valley Path around 5:20 p.m. and called the police. Fairfax County Police Officer Bud Walker commented that detectives have been at the park since the discovery, and are scouting the area for more clues. A medical examiner came to the conclusion on Monday that the remains were human. The identity of the bones, how long they have been at that particular location and the cause of death are currently under investigation. It is not known yet if the bones belong to an adult or child.
