Taxi drivers missing funds from credit card transactions

Several cab drivers in the District of Columbia are claiming not to have received cab fares that were paid for by credit cards.

More and more taxi drivers have started to install credit card machines in their cabs as a convenience to their passengers, and now Hitch, the company in charge of the card processing, is working to recover the unpaid funds.

One D.C. cab driver says he has been waiting for $1,500 in fares for 15 days.

According to Neville Waters with the D.C. Taxicab Commission, 91 percent of D.C. cabs now have credit card machines.
