Students brawl at Metro station

On Friday afternoon, a brawl took place at the Gallery Place Chinatown Metro station in downtown D.C. The brawl included a large crowd of juvenile students, which led to a handful of arrests.

According to authorities, the fight began at 4 p.m. when students were on their way home from school. It has been suggested that the fights took place due to a rivalry between two D.C. high schools. Police were warned of “potential youth disorder” in the area and had extra police located near the scene.

The crowd grew to be too large despite the added number of police officers, and a back-up police force was summoned. Around half-a dozen juveniles were arrested.
