The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors agreed Tuesday to the terms for a $403 million federal loan to move forward with the next phase of the Metro’s Silver Line. The loan, from the U.S. Department of Transportation, will cover about 45 percent of the county’s share of the line’s costs. This new phase will connect to Dulles International Airport by 2018. The total cost of the Silver Line project sits at $5.6 billion.
