Streets which were closed following the high speed police chase and shooting have been reopened to the public.
According to District of Columbia officials the roads were closed off Thursday after 34-year-old Miriam Carey led a caravan of police vehicles on a chase from the White House to Capitol Hill where she was fatally shot by officers.
The road blocks were lifted Friday with the exception of the eastbound left lane on Constitution Avenue where a security barrier is being fixed.
