RGIII sprains ankle in win over Ravens

The Redskins victory over Baltimore on Sunday came at an expense–a sprained knee for star quarterback, Robert Griffin III. Griffin was hit by Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata during the final Redskins drive. He was treated on the sidelines and had to sit out the end of the game, but Redskins Spokesman Tony Wyllie reported that Griffin was given an MRI at the stadium and does not have serious ligament damage or a torn ACL.

Back-up Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins stepped up to win the tense battle of the beltway game throwing an 11-yard touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon and running in a 2-point conversion to tie the game with less than 30 seconds left. A field goal in overtime won the game.
