Officials have stated the Metro Center station will be closing this weekend due to sign and lighting upgrades. According to Metro, the station will be closed on Saturday and Sunday while all red, orange, and blue trains will pass through without stopping and riders will be able to get to the station using free shuttle buses. Trains on the red, yellow, and green lines will run at regular weekend intervals, although on Saturday trains will be arriving and departing the Greenbelt station every 20 to 25 minutes from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Orange and blue lines will be running every 20 minutes.
