A man arrested at the White House Wednesday afternoon in possession of a rifle allegedly drove from Iowa because “someone told him to” do it. Renae Kapheim, 41, approached the White House at around 1 p.m.Wednesday afternoon. The Secret Service later searched Kapheim’s car, where they discovered a hunting rifle and ammunition. The car had been parked at 16th Street and Constitution Avenue. Kapheim will now face a gun charge, no other information has been released.
