Power outages on the Mall caused the Lincoln Memorial to go dark Monday morning. Crews are working to repair the damage to the underground cable failure, which was first reported around 5 a.m. The original outage caused traffic signals in the area to go down, which were repaired by 10 a.m. as a priority. Pepco reported that signals may be temporarily down throughout the day as repairs continue. The outage also caused Metro delays from McPherson Square.
