Failed plans for New York Ave. Wal-Mart

An agreement regarding the construction of a new Wal-Mart location has recently been dissolved.

Plans to build a Wal-Mart on New York Avenue have come to a halt after the proposal of a bill requiring Wal-Mart to pay its employees a minimum of $12.50 an hour came forth.

The bill has reached the desk of the mayor, and a perhaps premature decision has been made to cease construction with developer Rick Walker.

Walker intends to reconstruct the deal.
