Today marks the opening of the Newseum’s ‘Pictures of the Year’ exhibit. The Newseum, in partnership with Pictures of the Year International, or POYi (the world’s oldest photojournalism contest), will display images recognized as the finest in photojournalism in 2013. The collection boasts contributions from POYi award recepients such as the Newspaper Photographer of the Year, and Freelance/Agency Photographer of the Year. The exhibit is located on the concourse level of the Newseum and will run until September 1, 2014.
