Mayor Vincent Gray signed a $300 million soccer stadium deal into legislation Tuesday. The deal comes after much negotiation, and pledges up to $150 million of city funds into the construction, and D.C. United has pledged to make up the remaining $150 million. The stadium will be built to support the franchise, and will be constructed on Buzzard Point. Gray also signed a bill for a memorial to victims of the 2009 Metro crash and one establishing new regulations for the protection of adults under guardianship orders.
