A District of Columbia police officer has been apprehended on charges of pandering involving a minor.
Linwood Barnhill Jr. was arrested Wednesday one day after the body of a fellow D.C. officer, Marc Washington, who was facing charges of child pornography, was found in the Washington Channel.
Officer’s discovered a missing 16-year-old girl in Barnhill’s apartment while issuing a search warrant last week. Further investigation stirred up accusations that Barnhill was operating a prostitution ring from his apartment.
The missing teenager told officers that Barnhill had set her up on “dates” with older men during which he expected her to perform sexual favors and pay him a portion of the money.
