Washington, D.C.’s chief financial officer has been nominated for another five-year term and expects to appear at a confirmation hearing in the D.C. Council. Mayor Vincent Gray nominated Natwar Gandhi earlier in June to continue serving as the city’s CFO. Gandhi has served as the D.C.’s CFO for 12 years.

In his time, the District has had balanced budgets and the credit rating has been elevated. Gandhi told The Washington Post that he is proud of his record in creating financial stability in the nation’s capital. The hearing is set to occur on Thursday.
