Virginia – Check ditcher runs over man’s leg while fleeing Va. Restaurant

A man who was trying to stop a diner who ditched his check at El Rancho Migueleno restaurant Friday night was seriously injured when the suspect drove his car over the man’s legs and fled the scene. Police say the man, who was a friend of the restaurant’s owner, saw the dispute between the owner and the suspect when he refused to pay his bill. According to Arlington County Police Department spokeswoman Ashley Savage, when the victim chased the suspect into the parking lot and stood in front of his car, the suspect drove his car forward, knocking the man down and running over his legs. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
