A sexual assault has taken place in Woodbridge on Monday and police are asking for the public’s assistance in catching the perpetrator. According to the 15-year-old victim, a man who said he worked for a cable company came to her home and asked to speak with someone who was not a resident. He left and returned a short while later and entered the house forcefully, leading the girl at knife-point to a bedroom where he sexually assaulted her.
When the victim started screaming and kicking, the suspect fled on foot. The victim’s older sister was in the basement when the assault took place and states that she was unaware of anything that was going on. The suspect is described as a black male of medium build between the ages of 20-29. He had on a gray jacket, a red shirt, black pants, and black dress shoes. Anyone with pertinent information should contact their local police department.
