Lockdown lifted at Virginia State Campus

Authorities at Virginia State University implemented a lockdown after several fights broke out on campus. It has since been lifted.

As of 7 a.m. Thursday the lockdown came to an end and normal class schedules resumed.

Spokesman for the university Tom Reed says that a stabbing took place on campus Wednesday and then various fights took place the same day.

According to Reed a suspect in the stabbing has been identified, but no arrests have been made.

The stabbing victim suffered from a non-life threatening injury.
