Fairfax County band director arrested for soliciting minor

Michael K. Cook, a Fairfax County band director, is being held without bail following his arrest for attempting to solicit a minor on the computer. The 43-year-old has been placed on leave without pay after he attempted to solicit a 15-year-old online.

Cook is being held at the Fairfax County Detention Center after his request for bail was denied. Cook had been at Robinson Secondary School since 2006 and has also worked at Carlson Middle School as well as Stone Middle School–all of which are Fairfax County schools.
