Lynchburg police uncovered a body from the woods of the city and have identified it as a missing teenage girl.
The body was identified by the medical examiner as 18-year-old Jamisha Gilbert.
Her body was found early Wednesday after her mother reported her missing Sunday. Her crashed car was discovered in Lynchburg Friday morning.
Those who saw her last said she was seen Friday between midnight and 1 a.m.
Police are continuing their investigation into her death.
