Attempted abduction in Alexandria

A failed abduction attempt has Alexandria Police warning the public to take caution.

According to police a 23-year-old woman was grabbed and pinned to a wall by the George Washington Masonic National Memorial on September 9. Luckily the victim was able to resist her attacker and flee the scene.

The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a black man standing 5 feet and 5 inches tall.

Alexandria Police encourage the public to contact them with any information regarding the attack or the suspect.
