Aftershock felt early Thursday morning

The U.S. Geological Survey that another aftershock stemming from the Aug. 23 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit early Thursday morning and could be felt all the way in parts of Baltimore. The aftershock, which occurred outside Mineral, Va. where the earthquake hit, is one of many that have followed the major tremor.

The aftershock Thursday was recorded as a 3.4 magnitude and is “non-threatening,” according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
