Prosecutors say Haynesworth attempted to pay waitress involved in groping case

Former Washington Redskins player Albert Haynesworth reportedly offered money repeatedly to the W Hotel waitress involved in a groping allegation in order to have her drop the case. According to prosecutors this comes only days after a W Hotel security officer was offered $50,000 by the waitress’ attorney to testify against Haynesworth.

Prosecutors wrote in their filings, “On numerous occasions since the assault took place, defense counsel has approached [the waitress’ attorney], offering a sum of money in exchange for [her] assistance in getting the criminal case dismissed. Haynesworth is now with the New England Patriots following an off-season trade.
