Tea Party leaders are unhappy with the remarks of the Teamster’s President Jim Hoffa following a Labor Day rally. Hoffa, addressing his supporters, said that there was a war on workers. “And you see it everywhere, it is the tea party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They’ve got a war, they got a war with us and there’s only going to be one winner. It’s going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We’re going to win that war.”

Tea Party Express chairwoman, Amy Kremer, demanded an apology from Hoffa, also calling on President Obama to reprimand him for his comments. The tea party group described the remarks as “a call for violence.” Obama was scheduled to appear at the rally, but was not on stage for Hoffa’s remarks. The White House has declined to comment.
