On February 25, a special election will be held for the Virginia House of Delegates seat, which formerly belonged to Lynwood Lewis. House Speaker William J. Howell announced the date Tuesday, the day after Lewis succeeded in a recount to beat Lt. Governor Ralph S. Northam in the state Senate. The recount gave Lewis the lead over Republican Wayne Coleman in a special Senate election. Howell stated that the deadline for filling the special House election is February 10. The House’s 100th district includes Accomack and Northampton counties along with parts of Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
