George Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin by a Florida jury on Saturday. The jury deliberated for 16 and a half hour before announcing their verdict. The jury was made up of all women and only one of the women was a minority.
Martin’s parents were not in the courtroom when the verdict was announced. Tracy Martin, Trayvon’s father later wrote on Twitter, “Even though I am broken hearted my faith is unshattered I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY BABY TRAY.”
