Sudden weather changes Sunday left many holiday air travellers stranded, as more than 3,000 domestic flights were delayed, and nearly 200 cancelled. In some places, like Chicago’s Midway Airport, the line to pass through security screening measured 1.2 miles. CNN reports that more than 46 million people were expected to travel significantly, more than 50 miles, for the Thanksgiving holiday. That number is the highest since 2007. Ninety percent of those travellers were expected to go by road.
