Apple opened up its stores for the Iphone 5 this morning, with many people staying in tents over night to get the device. One Iphone getter said it was worth the wait, saying it was “A little treat for me on a Friday morning, why not. Why not be part of something fantastic? It’s just such a smart phone it does all the thinking for you, you can’t get any easier than that.” The new Iphone is thinner, lighter, and has a faster processor than the 4s.
The preorder sales for the new Iphone were the largest since the original Iphone. Apple received over 2 million preorders in the first 24 hours alone. It opened its doors not only in America, but all over the world, including Japan, China, Australia, and all of Europe. Analysts say Apple will sell around 10 million Iphone 5’s by the end of September. Stock in Apple rose 5 points to remain above 700, the first time the company has ever reached the mark.
