Maryland’s Senate will be voting on a bill protecting transgender people from both housing and employment discrimination, as well discrimination among other areas. Friday morning, the bill will be read for the third time in the Senate session. The bill was filed by Sen. Richard Madaleno, a Montgomery County Democrat, while 24 other Senators are sponsoring it. Del. Luke Clippinger filed a bill parallel to Madaleno’s in the House and it is waiting for a committee hearing scheduled for March 5.
