Health officials are warning people to stay clear of the water near the pier in Lake Ogleton after high bacteria levels were reported. Officials test water at more than 80 sites around the county as part of a water quality monitoring program that annually runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Gerry Zitnik, the manager of the program, says it’s not common for high levels of bacteria to be found in Lake Ogleton. Warning signs are being posted along the pier. Testing of the water will continue Monday.
