The leader of an ongoing prostitution ring based out of Baltimore was sentenced to 17 ½ years in prison.

Forty-five-year-old Allen Wiggins conducted a prostitution operation from 2009 to 2011.  He used his involvement in the music industry to lure women to West Texas where they were then forced to become strippers and prostitutes.

Wiggins pleaded guilty in federal court in August to the charges of conspiracy, human trafficking and transporting women for prostitution.

Nine others have been charged, convicted and sentenced in this case.
