The plea for a college student accused of killing a man and eating his heart and brain has been postponed due to an administrative mistake.

According to Harford County Assistant State’s Attorneys, the papers needed to transport Alex Kinyua from the state’s maximum-security psychiatric hospital to court fell through. The hearing has been rescheduled for August 19th.

Kinyua is expected to plead guilty to the first-degree murder of a man from Ghana who was staying with Kinyua’s family in the suburbs of Baltimore. The murder occurred in 2012.
