A BP gas station clerk was assaulted early Monday morning after thieves drove off with an ATM on Eastern Avenue in Mount Rainier. According to Prince George’s County police, a report was received about someone acting hysterically at the gas station and when they arrived, the clerk was outside of the store. The clerk told police that four men pulled up in a white Ford pickup truck, pried the door open, and assaulted him. They suspects took off with an ATM, an unknown amount of cash from the register and cigarettes. The clerk suffered a minor head injury.
