Actress-activist Sophie Bush is auctioning off her clothes in an effort to help build schools in Guatemala. The “One Tree Hill” actress has selected some of her own designer clothes to sell via Closets for Causes’ eBay auction to benefit Pencils of Promise. Bush, 30, told Us Weekly, “Pencils of Promise rocks my world because they believe every child should have access to quality education … They create schools, programs and global communities around the common goal of education for all.” Proceeds from the auction, which kicks off July 16 at 10 a.m. PST, will aid Bush in building a school in Guatemala through Pencils of Promise’s The Impossible Ones campaign. “Everyone has an impossible challenge: a milestone to reach, a daunting task to accomplish, a fear to overcome,” Melanie Stevenson, director of operations at Pencils of Promise, explains. “Ours is 100 schools in 2012. By dedicating her impossible challenge to Pencils of Promise, Sophia brings us one step closer. Together, we can achieve the Impossible and create possibility for thousands of children around the world.”
