British actor-comedian Russell Brand was sentenced Thursday to perform 20 hours of community service. Brand, 37, will also pay $500 in court fees. The ruling stems from an incident with a paparazzo in March. While in New Orleans, Brand was accused of smashing a paparazzo’s iPhone through a glass window after a heated exchange. The “Get Him to the Greek” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” actor must complete the deal by Aug. 31.
