Actor Henry Winkler is heading to Broadway. The 66-year-old actor who most notably played “The Fonz” on the 1970s-1980s hit series, “Happy Days,” will star in David West Read’s comedy “The Performers.” Winkler will play Chuck Wood, a porn actor and legend in the porn industry. Actor Cheyenne Jackson, who will be featured in the show, will also be playing an adult film actor.
This will be Winkler’s first appearance on Broadway since Neil Simon’s 2000 show “The Dinner Party.”
The play is scheduled to debut Nov. 14 at the Longacre Theater. It will be directed by Evan Cabnet, who also directed Read’s play “The Dream of the Burning Boy.”
