Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger issued a statement Thursday saying that he never hit on singer Katy Perry when she was a teenager.
The 29-year-old vocalist participated in an Australian radio show interview this week and stated that she had dinner with Jagger and “he hit on me when I was 18.”
The 70-year-old rocker is denying her claim entirely. According to Jagger’s representative he “categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry.”
Perry sang back-up vocals on Jagger’s 2004 song “Old Habits Die Hard” and also made an appearance on this year’s Rolling Stones tour.
