Although Lindsay Lohan checked into Morningside Recovery in order to comply with a court-order, state officials claim the rehabilitation center is not licensed to provide drug and alcohol treatment. When a Los Angeles judge provided Lohan with a 90-day prison sentence, he gave her the option of attending a locked-down rehab center that must be licensed.
None of Morningside’s Recovery centers are licensed in California. The rehab center originally had three licenses, but they were all revoked. Lohan’s lawyer, arranged for her to check into Morningside Recovery without approval by prosecutors. Lohan was unaware that the rehab center was unlicensed.
