Folk legend Joni Mitchell was in intensive care in a Los Angeles-area hospital on Tuesday, according to her official Twitter account and website. 71-year-old Mitchell was found unconscious in her home Tuesday afternoon. Her reps added that she is awake and in good spirits. It is not currently known what illness she has. Los Angeles fire officials stated that paramedics answered a 911 call in Bel Air, (where Mitchell resides) and transported a patient to the hospital. But they refused to verify her identity or elaborate on her condition. Mitchell has received eight Grammy Awards, including a lifetime achievement award back in 2002. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
