“Desperate Housewives” ending after 8 seasons

Television network ABC confirmed Sunday that the hit series “Desperate Housewives” will be ending after eight seasons. “Housewives,” a feisty soap-opera featuring actors Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria, premiered in 2004 to great reception but has lost viewers over the years. Marcia Cross, who plays one of the housewives on the show, saw the ending of the show as bittersweet. “I thought it was coming and I think it’s the right thing,” Cross said. “But I still feel very sad and discombobulated.”
