Rhino Bar to become a Club Monaco store

A two-level Club Monaco boutique will replace legendary tavern Rhino Bar in the Georgetown area. Four years after the Ralph Lauren-owned retailer closed their doors in Georgetown, Club Monaco will return with a brand new store in 2016. The store will be located at 3295 M St. NW. The building has served as a bar for six decades, previously known as The Shamrock and Winston’s before housing Rhino Bar for the past eighteen years. Club Monaco recently ran a pop-up boutique in the chic Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmark (highly regarded as one of the best restaurants in the world) as part of its re-branding. The retailer has also changed its approach to casual wear in recent months, adding denim pieces by makers outside of the company to its shelves.
